Chatroll is an easy-to-use, web-based chat platform that helps organizations of all sizes reach and engage their online audience. Chatroll consists of two parts: (1) The Chatroll Dashboard that can be used to create, manage and moderate live interactive events, and (2) the Chatroll Module that can be embedded directly within any website or application. Chatroll offers a free plan you can use indefinitely. We also offer a range of paid plans providing customers with additional features, capacity and support.

Enter your message into the text box at the bottom of the chat area and press "Enter" on your keyboard.

Click the status icon next the user's name, and click "Send Private Message".

Yes. Simply type in the emoticon text :) and it will automatically turn into a graphical emoticon. Here is a list of emoticons that Chatroll supports.

You can turn sound notifications on or off by clicking the speaker icon at the bottom of the Chatroll widget.

Go to the home page, and follow the instructions to sign up and/or create a live event.

You control who can access your live event. Several sign in methods are supported: Guest (user simply enters a name to participate), Chatroll (user must sign up for an account on Chatroll.com), Facebook, and Single Sign-On (SSO) (user must sign into your own website or application).

Click on the "Permissions" Settings link from your live event Dashboard. You can specify access permissions for all of your live event and Chatroll Module's features.

You can delete any user posted content (e.g., messages, comments, etc.) by hovering your mouse cursor over and clicking on the red delete button that appears.

There are three ways to block unwanted users:
1) Click the status icon next the user's name, and confirm to block the user.
2) Delete the user's message, and check the "Block user" checkbox inside the delete confirmation box. This will delete the user's message and also immediately block the user. 3) Block the user's IP address from your event Dashboard's "Moderation" page.

Click on the "Users" Settings link from your live event Dashboard. You can make any Online User an Administrator or Moderator.

Click on the "Permissions" link from your event Dashboard. Set the "Message Posting" permission to "Moderators Only".

You can change your username by clicking on the "Settings" link at the top right of any page. Choose your new name and click "Save".

You can deactivate your account by clicking on the "Settings" link at the top of the page. Click the "Deactivate account" link. Please make sure to tell us why you are deactivating your account!

Go to the Sign in page and click the "Forgot your password?" link, and follow the instructions.
